Medium Curing Bitumens, denoted by the abbreviation MC, are prepared by dissolving pure bitumen in kerosene or solvent 402, which has a slower and longer evaporation rate than gasoline. Medium Curing Bitumens are classified into five types, with their viscosity varying from a minimum of 60 to 6000 centistokes at 60 degrees Celsius.

Slow setting bitumens according to their hardness: MC-30/MC-70/MC-250/MC-800/MC-3000 When using MC bitumen, the petroleum solvent evaporates and the bitumen remains to provide the desired adhesion.

Application of bitumen mc-250: This type of bitumen is mostly used in road construction industries including pavement and subgrade construction as an adhesive material between the road subgrade and asphalt coating. (Currently, the use of this type of bitumen is decreasing sharply due to the replacement of water-based bitumens such as emulsion bitumen, which, while eliminating the harmful effects of the environment, also have better performance.) MC-250 is a retarding solution bitumen that contains 74% bitumen. This bitumen is black in color and is produced under the ASTM D2027-M19 standard.

MC-250 retarder bitumen solution can be prepared in the following forms:

1- Bulk in tanker form

2- IBC tank

3- 220 liter barrel, net weight 5 kg

Application type: In various types of asphalt pavement, base, liner and continuous asphalt aggregate topcoat and non-immediate staining
